01Topas is a fast, well-mannered family cruiser, built as a performance cruiser from the factory. She is light and small enough to race, yet has the space and comfort for the whole family — the perfect compromise between two worlds, and you feel it the moment she gets wind in her sails.
02She is a well-equipped boat where both the technical side and the sailing qualities are in order. Almost everything has been replaced within the last few years — sails, batteries, solar, cockpit tent and sprayhood. This is a boat that is ready to go.
03Topas has spent most of her life ashore. For her first years she was owned by a group sailing the German and Swiss lakes, and later she was sailed to the Mediterranean, where the previous owner cruised 2–3 months a year — mostly from restaurant to restaurant. That is why she still looks so good, the wardrobe is as new, and the engine hours are few.
04We bought Topas in the Mediterranean in 2025, after selling our catamaran Serendipity and completing our circumnavigation. We have lived aboard for a year, and since May 2025 we have been in Denmark sailing around the country — so it is possible to see her along the way.
05She has everything you could wish for — three cabins, a large cockpit, and she simply sails very well. We are only selling because we are becoming land-based. Ready for bluewater cruising or as a liveaboard. VAT paid in 2025 — documentation available from the Greek authorities.
Light and small enough to race — big and comfortable enough for the family. Fast in light and heavy air, upwind and reaching.
Sails, batteries, solar panels, cockpit tent, sprayhood and much more — all within the last few years.
560Ah lithium, 800W solar, 4000W inverter — fully self-sufficient at anchor.
We have lived aboard for a year. Now she is ready for her next family. Oversized Rocna anchor for all conditions.

Ready for bluewater — or for living aboard.

SpinSheet — Used Boat Review
“The Beneteau 40 seems to hit that sweet spot — small enough to be an easily managed weekend platform for a couple or young family, large enough to be outfitted for extended cruising.”

Cruising World — Boat of the Year
“Comfortable and stylish belowdecks and well organized topsides… light-air performance that hinted at good handling in a stiffer breeze.”
